Dear N-MFT Members,
We just got out of another day of negotiations. During
today's session, N-MFT proposed the following:
to accept the Joint Benefit
Team's (JBT) recommendation that Cigna become a carrier for HMO and PPO plans
along with Kaiser. These options provide the least disruption of doctor and
hospital groups and the most flexibility of the options on the table.
As a
reminder, we are not going to continue with Anthem Blue Cross POS plan since
their renewal rate would have cost us an additional 25%! They made it clear to
us that no longer wanted our business.
We continue to pursue salary
increases, equitable prep time, and reduced employee benefits costs through
increased contributions by District.
